“Villa Bénie review For our first vacation in Anguilla, my wife Blanca and I chose Villa Bénie for our 8-day stay. First, Anguilla is the perfect Caribbean getaway with no high-rise hotels or cruise ship crowds. The island’s pace is slow, unhurried and has a coastal rhythm. The residents are polite and very social. Second, Villa Bénie is a striking private estate that masterfully captures the tranquil spirit of the island. Anguilla’s powdery white sand beaches are complimented by brilliant turquoise water. During our stay we dined at 12 different restaurants including quaint beach-front outdoor huts and high-end establishments. I am a foodie and never ate the same thing twice. The food is fresh and well prepared. My wife is a celiac with many other allergies, and all of the restaurants were happy to accommodate and delightfully adjusted menu items for her. She had no issues at all! Villa Bénie is situated on the quiet, breathtaking shores of Little Harbour in Lockrum Bay. It is designed as an upscale private sanctuary. When you walk thru the front door (back door to the Anguillans), you are standing in the huge upper lanai overlooking the crystal-clear bay water, a breakwater reef, and St. Maarten only 5 miles away. The rooms are decorated in soothing colors, and the appointment details are like no other we have experienced. The beds are extremely comfortable with top shelf linens and comforters. Each room has its independent whisper quiet air conditioner. At night, you can enjoy your favorite drink or cocktail while you lounge in very comfortable Adirondack chairs on the waterfront deck. The true luxury of the villa is how private and unbothered it feels. It offers an environment where you can completely unplug and let the sound of water breaking over the reef and the cool comfort of the trade winds sooth your spirit.
