Only on Anguilla When this world of ours starts making you a little crazy, there is an easy answer… escape to Pelican Bay on Anguilla and watch your stress just drift away. This is what we did last week as our friends were magnificent hosts from the moment we landed on this serene and tranquil island. As we drove down the natural rustic road toward the lovely home of Pelican Bay, we knew this was going to be a special place to relax and unwind. The white steel gates with the artistic Pelican sculptured art began to slowly swing open we were au struck by the newly planted royal palms that lined each side of the stone paved walkway. As we walked to the modern entrance I could hear the gently sounds of Caribbean music playing in my head. And all I could do was smile and breathe in deep. We had arrived in paradise. The front stone tiled porch offered comfortable seating areas and used a beautiful landscape window as a backdrop which allowed you to admire the open floor plan with unpretentious furnishings allowing a full un blocked view of the marvelous and private backyard area captured the the blue sky, turquoise ocean and blue watered pool area. On the outside back stone deck. Surrounding the pool were cushioned teak lounge chairs and a steady breeze that made the perfect atmosphere for a morning read or an afternoon nap… of which I did both! “We had an incredible week on Anguilla. Our home away from home was the beautiful villa at Pelican Bay. Everything about the villa was perfect! It was clean, bright, and well appointed with everything we needed to make this a relaxing and very special vacation . Super comfy beds, pillows, and large bathrooms, along with a great living and dining area. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our week fun and enjoyable. The outdoor living area was gorgeous! So many things to love about the outdoor space. It starts with the beautiful palm lined entry, to the large pool area surrounded by chaise lounges. There are several different areas to relax, and dine outdoors. We were surrounded by magnificent water views reflecting the many shades of blue that makes Anguilla so special . When you are relaxing at the pool, you have the beautiful mountains of St Martin in front of you. It’s spectacular! I loved that we could open the wall of sliding glass doors in the living area and have the most beautiful breeze from the sea. The people on the island are incredibly friendly and that includes Marilyn, who kept the villa looking beautiful and clean each day. We loved taking daily walks and exploring the area. “We were lucky to stay at Pelican Bay Villas for a girls trip. The views you wake up to is to die for. We mostly dined alfresco since the weather was nice when we stayed there. The property is beautiful and conveniently located to nice beaches, but the area is quiet amid other luxury villas. There is a lot of space plus a separate ocean view room at the 2nd floor of a pool house that is separate from the house for in laws, a couple or perhaps a teenager who wants privacy. The amenities smelled so good, they are locally made. The housekeeper Marilyn was amazing and took really great care of us. Will most definitely stay here again, highly recommended 10/10”
