“We visited Stone for supper on our holiday, and were deeply disappointed. There were certainly some pros; the vegetable dim sum and beef carpaccio were fantastic. The miso black cod was quite good. But that did not make up for the bad. It took roughly an hour for our appetizers to come out. They served an amuse bouche, which was bacon on a sweet potato bed with some kind of tomato sauce. It tasted like hot dogs. When our wine finally came, we noted they gave us a 2019 when the menu was for a 2015. The price was not adjusted and they simply stated “yeah, our wine years can be a bit funny”. Unacceptable. I ordered the surf and turf. They must’ve forgotten the lobster on the grill, because it was beyond chewy. The steak was ordered rare, and it came out medium-well. Considering how long it took to get the food, sending it back wasn’t an option. Lastly, they are pumping some kind of fake scent into the restaurant. Luckily, we were eating outside, as it just smelled awful in the restaurant.”
